Critical Incident Response Program - Training Videos

Three short videos were designed for use in the peer support program CN has in place across the country. The short dramas explore the difficulties that CN staff face after a critical incident and how peers can help prior to the arrival of trained counsellor. The videos also point out what a supervisor should be watching for amongst the dispatch staff, and how to arrange counseling. The videos were recorded in both English and French using bilingual actors.

Procedures for Ballast Car Loading - Training Video

This video was designed to help CN supervisors instruct workers loading ballast cars how to load such a freight car so that it doesn't tip and cause a derailment. The video clearly shows how to ensure the car is not overloaded, or loaded too much to one side or one end. We created a training booklet to accompany this video. It was narrated in both English and French.
