The iPad PUZZIO
When sending an iPad Puzzio File, the process is the same: First select the number of pieces (20, 40, 60) in this case, and then select “Send Puzzle to a Friend”. The app will then offer time options (5,10, 20 minutes, or No Timer).
(The iPad version is far more challenging). When you select “Send Puzzle to a Friend”, the app goes to your message options: (messenger, messages, LinkedIn, email etc. You then type in the phone address or name of the person you’re sending the PUZZIO to. Tap on the arrow or send button. The file is then on its way.
Five
Time Limits
When you set a time limit for the Puzzio, you add a major challenge to solving the puzzle. If you don’t solve the puzzle on time, the puzzle crashes and disappears. It’s gone!
The only option you have is to ask your friend or family member to send another Puzzio Challenge. This time, solve faster!
If having a time limit is too stressful, select “No Timer” and solve it at your leisure

Video Puzzios are great fun and much more challenging – especially when you have the maximum number of pieces and a limited time to complete. This definitely applies to the iPad version.
You need to upgrade the app in order to record or send Video Puzzios. The feature costs only a few dollars and can be easily purchased in the app…or when you first download it.

Tom Dodd, Owner/Producer, Fission Media
Tom’s company has created over twenty apps both for iOS (Apple) and Android phones. His clients have included the AMA (CAA), CN Rail, Edmonton Fire Rescue, AUPE, ATA, City City of Edmonton, Tunngavik in Nunavut, The Royal Alberta Museum, NFB, National Film Board, etc. Fission’s most successful app is Budget with Back in Black – a personal budgeting app that was the top financial app in the iTune Store for 8 months.
PUZZIO has been several years in production – mostly because it took a back seat to paying projects. Furthermore, the company needed to simplify the process of sending and receiving puzzle files. That challenge has now been overcome by creating our own Cloud server via Google Apps. This makes it possible to use messaging apps which is much easier! Fission Media has made sure that the process is highly secure.
Tom has been an entrepreneur, app developer, TV and documentary producer/director for over 30 years. Like many companies in Alberta, Fission Media has seen good times and bad. His video credits include BBC TV, Scottish TV, Granada TV and other ITV – UK Companies. CBC Radio, CTV, Access TV, City TV, etc. Tom Has won multiple awards for his work. And he’s still going strong.
